A Designer's Wedding at the Marvimon in Los Angeles

I'm obligated by school affiliation to harbor feelings of dislike for this couple, but it's not possible to do so when they're highly organized, have an eye for design and detail, and choose Marvimon as their venue!

Yishan & Mike are part of the Trojan family, and through multiple degrees of separation as friends of Christine's on one side, as well as friends of Janet's husband on the other, we were "recruited" to be a part of their team for their wedding day.  And we're glad of it!  The energy level among their guests and the happiness evident in Yishan & Mike made their wedding so memorable. We love you guys!

Yishan & Mike partnered with friends from Viva La Art, a non-profit that works with artists to raise funds for various groups by hosting live art events and auctions, to raise awareness about the organization.  They made buttons for the work of a few of their favorite Viva! artists that their guests could collect.  We collected the whole set ourselves!

A Quaint Wedding at the Occidental College in Los Angeles

Rick married a girl named Jennifer.  Pretty simple ~ but it gets a little confusing when you try to get all their nicknames right.

Rick's full name is Broderick, but growing up he used to deny that was his real name, so no one ever called him that.  Eventually the older cousins all started to call him Ricky, but I was never allowed to since I was one of the "little" cousins.  But then at the wedding, the Maid of Honor dubbed him, Brody, and all of us thought, "Why didn't we think of that?!"

When I met Jennifer, she became known as Jen/Jenn in our family.  But to her high school friends and other close friends she was known as Jerry.  Then another cousin started dating a Jennifer and everything just got really jumbled trying to figure out which Jen/Jenn/Jenny/Jennifer we were all talking about.

So I'm still trying to figure out what names to best call them by... but for now you all can get to know them as Jerry & Brody!

The wedding was a family affair!  Jen and her father worked together on cutting each of the wood chips for the escort cards, Rick's sister, Kim, made and designed the cake, and yours truly, the "little" cousin, helped plan and coordinate it all!

They also paid their respects to both families through the Korean Traditional Paebaek Wedding Ceremony.

The caricaturist was such a hit!  We wanted one ourselves, but as you can see, we weren't sitting in the right order...

A Lunchtime Wedding at Kyoto Grand Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles

As the days grew closer to Marie & Wayne's big day, you could see that family was a very important part of their lives and wedding planning process. Most of Wayne's family couldn't be present at the wedding, so weeks before the wedding, Marie and Wayne made a trip out to Taiwan to visit them. And the nights before their wedding, their family and friends stayed up until the wee hours in the morning putting together last minute details. Marie's mother even designed the centerpieces, ceremony decor and bouquets. Talk about a supportive family!

From beginning to end, Marie & Wayne's love story was supported by friends and family and all they wanted was to simply celebrate their love and share that joy with those most important to them! :)

*And a little fun fact... Marie Lee & Wayne Ke decided to combine their last names, so their new official name is

Mr. & Mrs. Wayne and Marie Kelee (pronounced "kelly") :P
